Debate: House Leaders Square Off on Eve of Historic Health Care Reform Vote

The reason support is falling for this bill is because it is a BAD BILL. It will push millions out of private insurance and force them into the "public option." It will result in higher taxes, it will be a big JOB KILLER, it will lead to rationing and the government making end of life decisions, and it will end medical innovation. Moreover, it doesn't bring down the cost of medical insurance--supposedly the #1 goal of any reform.

This bill is a ruse for the government to takeover one sixth of the economy. What has our government EVER successfully managed? Look at the recent H1N1 vaccine mess! The current federal entitlements of social security, medicare and medicaid are already UNDERFUNDED and will soon go broke. Why can't we fix those first before we screw up the whole health care system? SHEER MADNESS!

NEWSFLASH from Fox News: The AMA might WITHDRAW endorsement of ObamaCare. Article reads:

American Medical Association's much-touted endorsement of the House health care reform bill has triggered a revolt among some members who want the endorsement withdrawn.

Some members are outraged that the group's trustees made the endorsement without the formal approval of the organization's House of Delegates.

On Monday, delegates will vote on a resolution offered by some members that, if approved, will withdraw the AMA’s endorsement of the bill.

President Obama cited the endorsement of the influential AMA, along with AARP's, in a surprise appearance Thursday in the White House briefing room as he attempted to beat back criticism that the bill would gut Medicare.


"They're endorsing this bill because they know it will strengthen Medicare, not jeopardize it," he told reporters. "They know it will protect the benefits our seniors receive, not cut them."

"So I want everyone to remember that the next time you hear the same tired arguments to the contrary from insurance companies and their lobbyists and remember this endorsement the next time you see a bunch of misleading ads on television," he added.

I will refuse to be mandated to do something I believe is contrary to the health of myself as well as the health of our country. Tell me that I* will be jailed if I do not accept the government mandated health care insurance. Guess what. Mz Pisslosi and company, Mr. Boehner and company, with all disrespect intended, go fk yourselves.

If the total health care costs 1 dollar what percent of that dollar goes to the doctors,hospital and drug and insurance companies.If the cost go up,the insurance goes up

Who wants the government running ANYTHING??? What have they ever done that is close to being cost effective, or better then whats offered in the private sector. People in this country better wake up before its too late. Obama, Pelosi and Reid do not give a damn about your health care...This is all about power. Keep pushing us further into government dependence. If they were truly concerned about health care they could do 2 simple things...Allow us to purchase health insurance across state lines and put caps on malpractice suits. These 2 things alone would dramatically reduce the cost of insurance. If the government is put it charge of health care, just watch what happens down the road...the price will go up every year, because of the way the government mismanages money, and our taxes will go through the roof to pay for yet another bs social program. Whatever happened to independence and individual responsibility? Think SOCIALISM when you here Obama and Pelosi talk.

"government" option will NOT help, believe me! I just saw a patient on Medicare/Medicaid, and one of her generic, badly needed asthma medications for her nebulizer is not covered. It is commonly used, has no substitute, and is very necessary. To try to get it covered, we would have to spend 1 - 2 hours on the phone, which is impossible, so your assumption that "coverage" guarantees anything is totally wrong!

Really? Last I checked, none of the above were in positions of power. They were in fact, exercising their first amendment rights.
